Hi, y’all!! I hope you enjoyed seeing Anne and Lindsay’s Market favs on Monday, and had as much fun as I did getting to know them a little better. Today I have another round of Q+A’s with designers Lisa Mende and Alisha Gwen, let’s see what these ladies loved this year in High Point!
LISA MENDE
1. What was your favorite showroom this year at market?
I would have to say The New Madegoods Showroom “The Bank “ in Wrenn!
2. What was your favorite fabric trend? Why?
I loved all the performance fabric in the market because I use them all the time so it’s nice to have more options!
3. What was your favorite furniture trend? Why?
I loved that everyone has small drinks tables! I think a drinks table is so smart not only for drinks but also for your cell phone!
4. What was your favorite "find"?
Louise Gaskill’s new hardware collection is fabulous!
ALISHA GWEN
1. What was your favorite showroom this year at market?
Highland House is always my favorite. They are always best in show for their use of mixing color, pattern and texture. Not to mention, the rugs and original artwork are always spot on.
2. What was your favorite fabric trend? Why?
I recall seeing lots of GREEN! Which felt spot on and in trend with ‘spring’.
3. What was your favorite furniture trend? Why?
I love the custom options vendors (Century Furniture, Vanguard Furniture) now offer. You are able to choose between dozens of options to custom design your own dresser, chest, bathroom vanity, etc. This customization allows me to create a look unique to my clients taste!
4. What was your favorite "find"?
I found the most amazing one of a kind rugs for clients- sometime you have an AH-HA moment, and it’s the best feeling! I also found an amazing original piece of artwork for my bedroom that I am now using as inspiration to redesign the space.
Although I was not at Market this year, the Madegoods showroom looked remarkable, I think it would have been one of my favorites as well! In terms of trends, I agree with Alisha that green is definitely having a major moment this Spring!
Thanks for stopping by today, and I’ll see you back here Friday with Part 3 of HPMKT Q+A with Molly Basile, Lee Owens, and Emily Gonzalez of Bolick & Prince.
There’s always Something to Style Over!
