Georgetown Guide

I’m so excited to finally be posting my Georgetown Guide! I’ve been living in Georgetown for about a year and a half, and it is truly a wonderful place to live. There is so much to see, do, and eat, and the energy is electric. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun new place to visit! Georgetown has the most gorgeous architecture, I could spend hours exploring the charming cobble stone streets.

Friday Favs

Alright, now for the fun stuff! This week’s Favs are having a bit of an identity crisis with the mix of Fall and Christmas, but that’s okay. I’m still soaking up every ounce of Fall but everyone is starting to put out Christmas content, so I’m following suit with that as well.

The Best of Cathy Kincaid

Cathy Kincaid is one of my all time favorite designers! Her work is articulate, timeless, and oh-so fabulous. I recently got her new book “The Well Adorned Home” and it sent me down a rabbit hole looking at all of Kincaid’s projects. I absolutely adore her work and I know y’all love it too! I’ve shared a few of her photos before on Instagram but I wanted to share my Top 20 Favorite Images from Kincaid’s portfolio. Enjoy!

Friday Favs

Happy Friday, y’all! I’m happy to be back with Friday Favs today since I posted my High Point Round Up last Friday instead. You’ll notice I’m trying out a different format today, I didn’t love how the Friday Favs posts didn’t include a lot of images, so I’m trying this out. Let’s dive right in!

Having a Pretty Yet Practical Home

While I was at Market I attended an educational panel moderated by The Potted Boxwood, all about Form, Function & Family in the home. The fabulous panelists were Sarah Bartholomew, Jessica Bennett, Lauren Clement, Liz Goldberg, and Lori Paranjape. All of these women were so knowledgable and gave such good answers! I wanted to do a whole blog post on this topic because I feel like the issue of making your home pretty and practical is so widely discussed. I took notes during the panel so I’m going to break them down by question and answers of the panelists but I also have included some other bullet points, and ways to have performance fabrics in your home without a designer!

Home Tour: Mountain Oasis in Cashiers

One of my favorite parts of Fall is when the leaves start to change. Seeing the red and orange topped trees makes me want to put on a cozy sweater, make a pot of chili, and light a candle! When it comes to interior choices, I tend to gravitate towards cool colors (blue & green), much more than warm colors (red & orange). Despite my love of cool, crisp tones, every Fall I long for those touches to make my home more cozy for the cooler temps.

Today I have my official Fall 2019 High Point Market Round Up to share with y’all! I have been to market several times in the past with firms I was interning for in college but I wasn’t able to attend the past two seasons.
