Let’s Deck the Halls!
On Monday I talked all about Christmas trees but today I’m discussing holiday decor for the rest of your home! Your Christmas tree serves as the focal point of your decor but many people (including myself) tend to spread Christmas cheer throughout their whole home. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite places and ways to decorate your home, some festive products, and of course, inspiration images! Who’s ready to deck their halls?!
Mantels
One of my favorite places to decorate is a mantel! Growing up I loved helping my mom decorate our mantels, and would use greenery, red berries, and pine cones. It’s such a classic look but I love keeping it traditional for the mantel. Traditionally, stockings were hung from the mantel so I prefer the mantel decorations to not take away from the stocking, but more to highlight them. However, if you are decorating a mantel that won’t have stockings you can go a little more grand!
A common component of mantle decoration is a garland. Once you have a base layer (garland) you can add fill ins to give it more personality. Some ideas are: figurines, candles, vases with decorative greenery and florals, pine cones, and berries. I think it’s important to add a little height when decorating your mantel, which is why candlesticks are a great addition.

Another place where I love to see a garland is on your banister, it’s so sophisticated and welcoming. They are also great for dressing up a bar or buffet in your Dining Room! If you don’t want to purchase a faux garland you can always use cuttings from your Christmas tree. Live berries and pinecones also are great additions to your mantel if you have access to them. Below are some of my favorite mantels I’ve seen decorated for the holidays! Each one is so unique and interesting, that’s what’s so fun about it!
Wreaths
Wreaths are a classic holiday decor staple that you can use anywhere throughout your home! Wreaths are traditionally used on your front door, but are now used for both interior and exterior. One of my favorite spots for wreaths is hung over a mirror, I just love it. Here are some of my favorite I’ve seen this season!

I love the mini boxwood wreaths (9) hung on the back of a chair! It is such a darling touch to add to your Dining Room for Christmas dinner. I just love how pretty and timeless a wreath makes your space. You truly can’t go wrong! Much like garlands, you can get fresh wreaths made if you prefer not have faux. The photos below are some gorgeous usages of wreaths throughout homes!
Lastly, I want to share with y’all some home accessories including pillows, throws, a few kitchen items and more! These products are guaranteed to fill your home with cheer this season.
