Fall Tablescape Ideas
Happy Wednesday, y’all! Now that Labor Day is officially behind us it’s time to start thinking about all things Fall! I’ll admit, I’ve never been one to love holiday decor, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve grown to appreciate little things that make your home feel more seasonally appropriate. As the weather starts to cool down I’ll be sharing more Fall decor but today I wanted to share two tablescape ideas that are perfect for now and later. I always struggle this time of year with what to wear, how to decorate, etc. It’s still so warm outside (at least where I live) but I’m ready for cooler weather! These tablescapes are seasonal enough where you can use them now and get your little touch of Fall but aren’t decked out with pumpkins and maple leaves. The perfect in between, if ya know what I mean!
When doing tables I personally prefer to not have a direct centerpiece when people will be eating because you don’t want anything in your line of vision. I love having greenery, flowers, and objects spread throughout the center of the table. In both table schemes I have ideas for “centerpiece” items! I love tablescapes and had so much fun putting these together. I can’t wait to share more ideas as the season goes on and start to think of (dare I say) Christmas and Holiday table ideas! These two tablescapes are very different but I love both of them for different reasons.
This first tablescape is very nature inspired with the warm tones, greens and eucalyptus leaves. I love the natural elements tied in with the chic tortoise glasses and all of the gold accents. Y’all know I love the cabbage plates, so I decided to use the cabbage charger with a simple gold rimmed white china. The combination with the woven placemat makes it more casual so you can use it for a dinner party or even Thanksgiving!

This next tablescape is more playful but can definitely still be used for a dinner party. I was so inspired when I saw this bandana-esque tablecloth by Bunny Williams on Ballard, so I decided to a table scheme around that! I loved how the blues paired with the terrocata color, so I added the blue and white china, embroidered napkins, and candle sticks. I love the little touches of whimsy with the bamboo flat wear, and the wheat & artichoke centerpiece!

Something to remember when doing tablescapes is that you probably already have a lot of stuff you can use around your house! Gather items before purchasing to see what you can work with. I also love incorporating flowers and greenery from my yard and fresh produce to the centerpiece as well. If you’ve never done a tablescape, I would recommend investing in a white china, gold candlesticks, and a set of versatile flat wear. With these staples you can incorporate different items to draw the “theme” while not having to purchase all new items.
My next tablescape post is going to involve how to incorporate pumpkins without it being too “Halloween” or too cheesy. Look out for that in the upcoming weeks!
There’s always Something to Style Over!
