Friday Favs

Happy Friday! It’s been a while since I’ve done a Friday Favs but I’m glad to be back. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks with the holidays and shooting & prepping content for y’all. Thank you so much for all of the positive feedback and kind words, it means so much.

Let’s see what I’m loving lately!

John Rosselli’s House Tour

John Rosselli, is one of the most well known names in the industry. He’s known for his gorgeous antique stores and exquisite taste. A little fun fact: he’s married to designer, Bunny Williams. House Beautiful recently featured his New York City home and it’s just as charming as you would image.

Color Trends for 2020

Veranda posted their Color Trends post for 2020 and I love everything! I always think it’s so fun to see the predictions and trend reports and see how they are carried out throughout the year.

Veranda’s Top 10 Images of 2019

Another one of my Favs from Veranda is their round up of the Top 10 Images of the Year According to Instagram. I loved looking back on all of these images from 2019!

Rachel Parcell’s Home Tour

Rachel Parcell, of Pink Peonies, is one of my favorite bloggers. I’ve shared some of her home (designed by Alice Lane) a couple times on Instagram and y’all always love it. Her home was recently featured in Traditional Home and it is absolutely breathtaking! If you haven’t seen it already I highly recommend checking it out.

Holiday Moscow Mules

Moscow Mules are one of my absolute favorite cocktails! They’re light, refreshing, and oh so delicious. This spin on the classic mule is perfect for the holidays, whether you’re having an at home Happy Hour or hosting friends. The Winter Wassail from Trader Joe’s is my “juice” of choice, but other grocery stores have similar mixer options.

Thumb Cookie Recipe

Thumb cookies are one of my fav Christmas cookies! They are simple, so tasty and are always a huge crowd pleaser. My mom made these every year when I was growing up, and I make them now for myself, friends, coworkers, you name it! You can find recipes online for these cookies but I wanted to share with y’all the recipe my mom and I use. This is also the dough we use for traditional sugar cookies! Enjoy ♥︎

Ingredients:

  • 3 Sticks of Butter (softened)

  • 1 Cup of Sugar

  • 2 Egg Yolks

  • 3 Cups of Flour

  • 1 tsp. Vanilla

  • Jelly of Your Choice

As y’all know, I’m not much of a “follow the instructions” type of gal. So, all I do is mix all the ingredients together and call it a day! Once you make the dough, mold them into balls, and press down in the center with your thumb. Fill the thumb print with jelly and you’re done. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes. I made some last night and they are fabulous, as always!

I got so many questions about my red skirt earlier this week, so I wanted to share some Holiday Party Looks with y’all! These items are so darling and would be perfect for any holiday event you have this season.
