Today’s YGG post is a little different than normal, because today’s featured Girl Boss provides a service, not products! I am so excited to share with you the fabulous, Kate Jones, of Kate Waldo & Co. Kate started Kate Waldo & Co. almost two years ago and business has been booming ever since!

You’re probably wondering what Kate Waldo & Co. does. Well, Kate is a professional organizer for influencers. She says, “as the Professional Organizer to Bloggers and Influencers, I provide the tools for you to streamline & organize the “behind the scenes” administration part of your business so you can focus on doing what you love.” How cool is that?!

Meet Kate!

Q. How did you know you wanted to start your own business? 

A. I have always had a passion for helping people and giving advice. When I stumbled upon the world of professional organizing, I knew I had found my place in the world and a creating a business out of it became a no-brainer.

Q. How did you decide on this niche?

A. When entrepreneurs kept asking me how I keep my business so organized, I realized that people needed help in this area. Bloggers and Influencers wear so many hats -- business owner, photographer, schedule-keeper, accountant, PR and marketing rep, content creator... the list goes on and on. I love being the organizing cheerleader that helps you manage #allthethings in a way that's efficient, effective, and doesn't make you want to pull your hair out.

Q. What was the hardest part about starting your business? 

A. The fear of not succeeding coupled with the drive to do it anyway.

Q. Where do you gather inspiration? 

A. I love listening to podcasts and books on Audible. I get a lot of inspiration from my students as well as other bloggers and influencers. I'm always trying to learn more and get better.

Q. What has been your biggest achievement within your business thus far? 

A. Wow, there are so many fun things that have happened over the last two years. I think the biggest achievement is that I have been in business longer than any other job I've had. To me, that means that this is something I'm super passionate about and I've been able to make a life out of it.

Q. What are your current goals/plans for your business?

A. My current goals are to help more influencer entrepreneurs reclaim their lives by organizing, streamlining, and de-stressing their businesses. I would love to help 100 more students through The Organized Influencer Academy by the end of 2019! Every day brings a new opportunity that I never could have imagined for myself, so I'm excited to see what the future has in store!

Q. What missions and values do you align with your business? 

A. Honesty, integrity, and having a really good time!

Q. What is one piece of advice you could give other women who are wanting to start their own business?

A. Give yourself some grace. You don't know it all and you won't know it all. You will mess up and that's okay. Let yourself rest and know that baby steps are better than not doing it at all.
