Incorporating Animal Print in Your Home

It is no secret that I think of animal print as a neutral! Whether it’s cheetah, antelope, or a zebra hide, I don’t discriminate when it comes to animal prints. I throw them in with florals, solids, geometrics, whatever, BUT if you are new to the animal print game they may be a little intimidating. Today I’m sharing a few tips to incorporate animal prints into your home, some of my favorite animalistic items, and of course some inspo pics!

Tips

  1. Use neutral animal prints! If you start adding colors to the print you’re tackling a whole different beast. If you are wanting to go with a colored print I would stick a small scale, mainly neutral pattern (like the blue cheetah pillows below!).

  2. Florals and animal prints are a match made in heaven. Mixing florals and animalistic prints will elevate your space and make it feel well rounded. This combo is fool proof!

  3. Animal prints traditionally have the reputation of being “gaudy” so pair them with classic pieces, sophisticated art, and fresh patterns to combat the stereotype.

  4. Treat it as a neutral/solid! I think you’ll be surprised how easily it goes with other things.
